What You’ll Need to Make Streamer Stars:

Kids Craft Popsicle Stick Stars for 4th of JulyStart by gluing together five craft sticks to create a star shape. For maximum stability, add a dab of glue in all of the places where the craft sticks intersect one another.

Patriotic Popsicle Stick Star Craft for 4th of JulyIf you’d like to use your stars as a hanging decoration, glue a ribbon loop to the back side for hanging (or you can attach a skinny dowel to make a star wand!).

Crafting with Elmer's Early Learners Glue PensI’ve said it before (and I’ll say it again!), but these Early Learners Glue Pens are the best EVER! The triangle shape encourages proper writing grip, and the fabric tip means that the kids can’t squeeze too much glue out all at once. The Early Learners glue is as strong as standard school glue, so you don’t have to worry about how well it will hold up to heavy embellishments or bulky items like those pom poms. It goes on purple but dries clear so that kids can see exactly where they’ve applied it (plus it helps them determine when their glued projects are dry!).

  1. These are super cute! I feel like maybe I need that early learner glue stick? 😀 I get overly ambitious with my amounts of glue sometimes. I feel like these could be super cute Christmas ornaments too!
