Halloween is always a big deal around here. Each year we DIY at least one child’s costume (usually because they request to dress up as something obscure!), and we decorate our house to participate in our community’s Spooky Home Contest (we’ve always placed in the top three!). For us it’s a time of immeasurable creativity, and we always end the season with new ideas and dreams of bigger and better projects for the following year. Over the years I’ve collected some of my favorite and most creative DIY kids Halloween costume ideas, and today I’m sharing them all with you!
I hope you some inspiration in these ideas and that your gears are spinning, because the Hub Network has just announced their First Annual Halloween Bash Costume Contest with a chance to win $25,000! (Pssst…they even scored Halloween expert Martha Stewart as one of their judges!) Only homemade, unique and one-of-a-kind costumes are eligible to enter, so get creative! Contest runs through 9/29, after which one winner from each state will be flown to Los Angeles to appear on The Hub’s First Annual Halloween Bash and have the chance to win $25,000!
