Hi! I am so excited to be here as a new contributor! I love color and crafts, so I can promise you some fun with BOTH.
Today, I want to share with you a quick tutorial, Embellished Clothespins. I constantly have an endless supply of clothespins in my craftroom. I use them all the time to help hold things while they dry, clip papers to my memo board, or hold my candy bag shut (candy and crafting-just go together)!
So, why not embellish them to add a fun pop of color to something ordinary? They are rather inexpensive, and you can use mostly scrap pieces to complete them. I started by gathering left over fabric pieces, some scrapbook embellished pearls, and my hot glue gun.
The first thing I did was glue a strip of burlap to my clothespins.
I then cut and glued my scrap pieces into shapes and flowers. I glued one scrapbook embellished clothespin in the center of each flower and then glue those flowers onto my clothespins! It was that easy!
I love how easy this craft was, yet what a fun pop of color they can add to your home. You can add a little magnet to the back and use them on your frig too. I think they make a great addition to a gift as well!
You can see how I am using some of mine on my memo board. If you want to make a memo board like this to go with your clothespins, you can get the idea from here.
Since I am all about being real and sincere, I’ll share the truth of my memo board… It is in one messy office. If you need me, I will be lost in here.
I hope you enjoyed this little DIY! If you love these, but you don’t want to make them, I have a few for sale in my store.
I hope you all have a great week! Thank you Heidi for letting me share!
