I whipped up this cute “I’d Rather Be Fishing” shirt for my dad for Father’s Day last night, and I love how it turned out! I wanted to do something a little different than all of the other fishing shirts that I have seen out there, so I added the names of all of his grandkids to the shirt. I didn’t want the names to overwhelm the design though, so I opted to do the main text and image in black and the names in white.
What I used: Black Easyweed heat transfer vinyl, white heat transfer vinyl, and an iron, naturally. The fishing pole graphic is from the Silhouette Store and the fonts used were Arial Unicode and Playbill.
The entire project only took about fifteen minutes! You can’t beat that for easy peasy homemade gift making!
BONUS: Expressions Vinyl is offering HIH readers 10% off of their orders with code HAPPINESSISHOMEADE, so now is the time to stock up on all your vinyl needs! They have heat transfer vinyl, indoor/outdoor vinyl, patterned vinyl, glitter vinyl (in regular and heat transfer!), glow-in-the-dark vinyl, reflective vinyl, neon vinyl, printable vinyl and MUCH more!

This is so cute. My niece is 4 and she told her mom the other day that “My Papaw is going to take me fishing the next time he is here…and I can hardly wait!”. Maybe I should make this for Papaw for Father’s day š
