You guys, bathing suit season is already upon us here in California, and I feel like I’m light years behind on my fitness routine – eek! Luckily for me, I recently rediscovered the joy of bike riding, and it’s not only a lot of fun, it also burns a TON of calories! Moderately paced bicycle riding can burn around 340 calories per hour, and if you crank up the intensity, you can burn up to 800 calories per hour – WOW!
So what made me fall in love with biking again? This gorgeous 700c Columbia Vintage City Design bicycle! This bike is seriously chic with it’s vintage styling and charm, and it’s also incredibly functional, even for the most discerning cyclist.
• Durable Hi Tensile Steel Frame
• Alloy chain guard, seat post, handle bars, pedals, kickstand, and fenders
• Crown Lug Hi Tensile Steel Fork
• Internal Shimano Nexus 3 speed
• Dual Disc Brakes
• Beautiful Columbia embossed vintage style seat with Rivots
• Front steel rack
• Brushed Steel Fenders with full coverage
• 700c x 32MM Gumwall 700c tires
• 32 whole aluminum rims
I’ve been having a blast exploring our town by bike, and I’m so glad that Columbia recently brought back their beautifully styled bicycles – did you know that they were the very first USA bicycle seller way back in 1877? They also invented the tandem “bicycle built for two” as well as the first racing bike! Columbia definitely knows a thing or two about designing stylish and functional rides!
I’ve discovered lots of hidden gems and blink-and-you’ll-miss-’em tiny (but awesome!) shops that I never even knew existed before I started traveling the area by bike. And let’s not forget that I’m torching some serious calories while I’m exploring, too!
City biking is my secret calorie-blasting weapon this swimsuit season, and it’s SO much fun, too! Biking is a great way to get in shape, and it’s a fun way to explore your city or town. You can find this 700c Columbia Vintage City Design bike at Dicks, but be sure to check out Toys R Us, Target, Amazon, Walmart and Dicks retailers where other styles of Columbia Bicycles can also be found.
