Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but it’s also the one that most frequently gets skipped in the busy rush of morning. This Honey Oats and Berries Breakfast Bowl combines a few of my favorite healthy ingredients into a quick and easy one-bowl meal that helps you power through the start of your day.
Honey Bunches of Oats has been one of my favorite cereals ever since I was a kid, and it’s one of those timeless classics that will still be my favorite when I’m a little old lady. My family loves it as well, and we could eat it every morning and never get tired of it (with twelve different flavor choices, that’s not too hard to do!). Sometimes we like to shake things up by adding fruits, nuts, and other mix-ins – with tons of yummy flavor combinations, there’s something for everyone!
(Shhh, don’t tell, but I actually love to eat Honey Bunches of Oats straight out of the box! The mix of crispy flakes, crunchy oat clusters, and sweet touch of honey is EVERYTHING!)
Lately, I’ve been a bit obsessed with creating breakfast bowls – a combination of yogurt, fruit, nuts, seeds, and a crispy crunchy layer of my favorite cereal. There are about a zillion flavor combinations that you can use (apple cinnamon with almonds is one of my boys’ favorites), but I keep gravitating back towards this same mix – vanilla yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, dried cranberries, pecans, unsweetened coconut, chia seeds, and Crunchy Honey Roasted Honey Bunches of Oats. It’s ridiculously good!
I call this the “Honey Oats and Berries Breakfast Bowl,” but there are actually a whole bunch of amazing flavors packed into this little bowl!
Even though this breakfast bowl has a bunch of different ingredients, I promise that it only takes a few minutes to layer and assemble everything. Besides, arranging all of the toppings and getting creative with it is part of the fun!
This honey oats and berries breakfast bowl has become my go-to morning meal because it’s quick, easy, filling, and totally delicious! Perfect for busy mornings when we have lots of things on our agenda (and with our homeschool life, that’s EVERY day!)!
Honey Oats and Berries Breakfast Bowl
- 4-6 oz. Vanilla Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 cup Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal
- 3 Strawberries sliced thinly
- 1/4 cup Blueberries
- 1/2 tsp. Chia Seeds
- 1 Tbsp. Unsweetened Shredded Coconut
- 1 Tbsp. Dried Cranberries
- Handful of Pecans
- Fill a small bowl with yogurt and top with strawberries, blueberries, chia seeds, shredded coconut, dried cranberries, pecans, and Honey Bunches of Oats cereal.
