Make this cute metallic foil summer ice cream cone and popsicle banner using the new Minc Foil Applicator from Heidi Swapp! Fun and easy!
Supplies Used:
- Minc Paper Pad
- Minc Heat Reactive Foil in Silver, Hot Pink, Pink, Mint, and Gold.
- Minc Foil Applicator Machine
- Silhouette CAMEO
- Bakers Twine
- Brown Cardstock
- Glue Stick or Double Sided Tape
I started by using my Cameo to cut the Minc paper into ice cream scoops and popsicle shapes. I also cut cone shapes and popsicle sticks from a sheet of brown cardstock.
Don’t these bright colors just scream summertime? I thought they’d be perfect for this banner!
The Minc Foil Applicator Machine is SO awesome! You just place the Minc paper (or any paper printed with black laser toner) inside of the transfer folder, place a sheet of Minc reactive foil on top, and run the folder through the machine. Easy peasy! The machine heats up really quickly, so it takes practically no time at all to create lots of gorgeous shiny metallic papers!
Once the folder has gone through the machine, it’s time for my favorite part – the big reveal! Just peel back the foil sheet to see the pretty shimmer!
Once I had foiled all of my ice cream and popsicle papers, I used double sided tape to adhere the ice cream cone and popsicle stick papers, and then strung them on a length of bakers twine.
Super cute! I hung the banner up on my mantel, next to the Minc foil pinwheels that I made last month.
I love the way that they sparkle and shine, especially when the afternoon sun comes through our windows!
