I have fallen in love with yet another Project Life kit! Seriously though, how could I not? Project Life continues to come out with one gorgeous kit after another, and this new Michael’s Exclusive Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic Core Kit is my favorite one yet! Light blues, pinks, greens, yellows and airy neutrals pair with adorable icons including birds, trees, foxes, cameras and clipboards all in one awesome kit.
This newly released edition has a distressed feel and combines sweet florals with bold geometric patterns in a way that I just can NOT resist. Teeny polka dots, dainty flowers, cross-stitched hearts, arrows and hand drawn graphics…*sigh* you had me at hello.
Pink. Vintage. Typewriter. I’m not joking when I say that this new kit totally feels like it was designed just for me! I think I’m going to have to update my iPhone cover and use this for the decorative insert (my last cover was a 5th & Frolic design too!).
For as much as I adore the slightly muted colors that make up the bulk of this kit, for this week’s Project Life layout I wanted something bright and bold to match my subject matter. I chose a few of the more saturated cards to highlight our adventures at The Color Run last weekend.
Instead of highlighting an entire week with my layouts, I’ve been dedicating each two-page spread to one event or activity, and I’m really enjoying the way my album is coming together. I do have some layouts that show a week-in-the-life of our family, but I find that I take way too many pictures and want to show them ALL off. The nice thing about Project Life is that the super simplified scrapbook process only takes a few minutes, so I can always find time to create a new layout or two. I don’t even have to get out scissors, tape or glue! This week I added a few extra pops of color with some washi tape and stickers, and I still finished this in about 15 minutes (and most of that time was just spent deciding which of the cute cards I wanted to use!).
Also, if you’ve ever thought about participating in The Color Run – DO IT! It’s a blast! This was my second time on the course, and this year my oldest son and 5-year-old niece joined our team. The “race” isn’t really a race at all (it isn’t even timed!), and it’s very family friendly for kids who would rather walk than run. Highly recommended family fun!
Be sure to visit Michael’s for a huge selection of Project Life products including this exclusive Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic Core Kit, the exclusive Vintage Travel Core Kit, and several exclusive albums.

Have I told you how much I adore your new design? Love it! Same for your PL layout. That race you chose to chronicle works perfectly with 5th and Frolic.

Thank you so much, Malia! 🙂

I love your layouts, such a gorgeous eye for colour! I’ve added you to my rss feed 🙂
I’m also super excited about the new Dear Lizzie kit but in the UK I don’t have access to Michaels… I do have a friend going over in October but can’t find anywhere the price of the 5th and frolic core kit. Does anyone know!? I’d be so grateful for the info!

Thanks so much, Lucy! I believe the Dear Lizzie kit is $29.99 USD at Michael’s. 🙂
