I love cheering on the San Francisco 49ers, and wearing customized team gear is part of the fun! I made this DIY 49ers shirt using the same layered heat transfer vinyl technique that I used on our DIY Sacramento Kings shirts and our Personalized T-Shirt Superhero Capes, so please check out those posts for more detailed step-by-step instructions.
What I Used:
- Raglan T-shirt
- Heat Transfer Vinyl in Cardinal Red, Black, White and Gold
- Iron
- Electronic Cutting Machine or an Xacto Knife
Cut out the design (note: don’t forget to mirror your image when using heat transfer vinyl!), and then simply iron each layer of vinyl on to the shirt in order.
Before you know it, you’ll be game day ready!
Expressions Vinyl wants to get you game day ready, too, so they’re offering a $100 gift card to one lucky winner! Enter via the Rafflecopter form below – good luck!

When I lived in San Diego we used to go watch the Chargers a LOT! No “special” game but MANY special times w/ Friends & Family!

I enjoy tailgating at football games. High school, college or professional. The atmosphere pre game is the best.

back in the late 80’s or early 90’s (they both were good teams back then) tampa bay bucs vs. chicago bears in tampa stadium with my baby sis and my mom…mommy and i were cheering for the bucs, i had bucs shirt, mommy had i love football shirt (she was trying to stay impartial, yeah right, lol she was for the bucs), and sis cheered for the bears with her bears shirt and the teasing and egging on back and forth *oh we sat in the bucs section too, lol ) it was so much fun…and no one got hurt or threatened…it was a different time in this country! i cant tell you who won, only that the memories of this will be in my brain hopeful til i die!

My most memorable football experience has to the “The Fog Bowl” between the Chicago Bears and the Philadelphia Eagles at Soldier Field. We were sitting in the stand but couldn’t even see the field. We had to listen to the radio to know what was happening.
