This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and BJ’s Restaurants, but all my opinions are my own. #DineInOrderAhead #pmedia http://mydisclosur.es/OBsstV
When it comes to restaurant dining, my son, Simon, is usually that crazy restless kiddo who is hungry, impatient, and antsy. I can’t say that I blame him though. Waiting for a table, waiting for drinks, waiting to order, waiting for food to be served, waiting for your check, waiting for to-go boxes…waiting, waiting and more waiting. It can be tiresome at times for a grown adult, so it seems pretty logical that it would feel like an eternity to a three-year-old.
After a few too many impatient restaurant meltdowns, we had just about given up on the idea of taking our kids out to eat for awhile when I heard about the new BJ’s Restaurant Mobile App (available for iPhone and Android). The app allows you to check the wait times at your local BJ’s Restaurant, add your name to the Preferred Waitlist, and even order ahead – all from your phone while you’re on the go!
The BJ’s Mobile App allows you to select your closest location, choose your arrival time and party size, and order ahead for dine in, take out or curbside pick up. One of the first things that I noticed about the app is the fact that almost all of the menu options have photos available so that I can actually see what I’m ordering – LOVE that!
We used the BJ’s Mobile App from the comfort of home to order a pizza and pizookies for Dine In and then headed to our local BJ’s Restaurant about twenty minutes later. Upon arrival we informed the hostess that we had placed a Mobile App order, and she seated us right away (ahead of other customers that were already waiting in the lobby…I felt sort of like a VIP rock star haha!).
The hostess set a glass on our table that had a copy of our BJ’s Mobile App order in it, and our waiter stopped by to grab the receipt and double check that the kitchen was already getting started on our order. It was all so easy – walk in, sit down, and have dinner already in-the-making for you!
The Salted Caramel Pizookie is a new addition to the dessert menu, and it didn’t disappoint at all. It’s made with caramel cookie dough, pretzel bites and white and dark chocolate chips and topped with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and caramel sauce. This one totally hits the perfect balance between sweet and salty!
This little guy was pretty excited to share all of that dessert with Mom & Dad and not have his big brothers there to share with, too. I paid our bill via the Mobile Pay section of the app (again, SUPER simple and quick!), so when he finally looked up from all of this sweet yumminess and said he was finished, we were able to walk right out of the restaurant and head for home.
The BJ’s Mobile App definitely saved us a ton of time and effort at the restaurant, and I would highly recommend it. It’s great for families with restless kids, but it’s also great for adults and families who are traveling or who would just like to save time the next time they eat out at BJ’s Restaurant!
