It’s Watermelon Week, and I can’t wait to share all of these great watermelon crafts and recipes with you! Each day I will be showcasing three watermelon tutorials from my friends, so be sure to check back daily for new watermelon goodies!
Today, I’m going to show you how I turned these discarded tin containers into a watermelon themed canister set that’s perfect for summer.
This collection of assorted tins found their way home with me on Easter, and they had been sitting in my garage just waiting for inspiration to strike me. I loved the Mary Engelbreit tea tin because it reminded me of my Grandmom, but Simon found it and doodled all over one side with oil-based Sharpie – I’m showing it’s good side in the photo above. I knew it would be the perfect candidate for a summer makeover, so I decided to create an entire set of canisters from the mismatched tins.
