You probably all know by now that I {LOVE} to repurpose things and transform old and vintage finds into something new and special. When I saw this vintage floral sheet at a thrift store recently it immediately reminded me of the bedding that my grandmother had in her guest room, and I started feeling nostalgic for those days of childhood sleepovers. So, I did the first thing that came to mind – I created my own grown-up variation of the sleepover sheets by turning them into flirty little sleep shorts.
It was so simple! I just used my favorite jammie shorts as a pattern, sewed the pieces together and added some pretty lace trim and a decorative chevron twill tape bow (available from Mindy Mae’s Market). Easy peasy and sooooo cute, not to mention that I got to upcycle something in the process – love it!

What is your favorite sleep shorts pattern? 🙂
I don’t ever use an actual pattern. I just choose my favorite pair of sleep shorts and then trace around them to make my own custom pattern 🙂
Hi Heidi, I featured one of your projects on my blog. If it’s not ok with you, let me know and I will remove links and pics asap.
