WinterFest at California’s Great America is a fun-filled event for the entire family! Experience stunning displays of holiday decorations and lights, live holiday shows, Santa’s workshop, and 20 different rides and attractions!
It’s here! WinterFest has arrived at California’s Great America, and you’re invited! The Bay Area’s newest and most immersive holiday tradition is sure to be a huge hit with your entire family – ice skating, rides and attractions, cookies with Santa and Mrs. Claus, snow inside of the park, and holiday lights galore! WinterFest is a winter wonderland dream come true!
The five-week long WinterFest celebration will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with daily operations December 19-23 and 26-30 from 5 pm – 10 pm (December 11 from 7 pm – 11 pm).
WinterFest is comprised of nine decorative themed areas where park guests can experience snow falling in Hometown Square, 20-foot tall candy canes in Candy Cane Lane, Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree in Planet Snoopy (along with rides for younger guests!), oversized toys in Toy Land, and more!
At the heart of WinterFest is one of the Bay Area’s tallest Christmas trees, decorated with so many thousands of twinkling LED lights that it’s visible from the International Space Station more than 270 miles away – WOW!
Your children will cherish memories of decorating cookies with Mrs. Claus, getting their photo taken with Santa, petting reindeer, and writing holiday letters to family members. For older children and thrill seekers, the Gold Striker and Flight Deck coasters will be open along with Flying Eagles, and the whole family can enjoy a ride on the iconic Carousel Columbia.
Live shows are performed nightly including a tree lighting ceremony, carolers singing throughout the park, and the “It’s Chrismas, Snoopy!” ice show.
If you’re lucky, you might even run into Jack Frost or the Sugar Plum Fairy in the bakery! I bet they’re fans of the eggnog funnel cakes and peppermint churros, too!
Single day tickets to WinterFest are available online for as low as $24,99 and admission to WinterFest is included with a 2016 or 2017 Gold or Platinum Pass (currently available online for a limited time! Gold Season Passes include unlimited visits to California’s Great America and Gilroy Gardens, admission to Halloween Haunt and WinterFest, free parking, early admission days, and special discounts and offers).
