Eggnog Snickerdoodle Cookies


  • 3/4 cup Butter softened
  • 2/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Eggnog
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 scant tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg

For Topping

  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and both sugars. Add eggs and mix well. Add vanilla and eggnog and mix again.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cream of tartar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar topping. One at a time, drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough into the cinnamon sugar and roll the dough ball until it is completely covered with the mixture.
  6. Bake on a parchment lined baking sheet for 10-13 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden.
  7. Allow the snickerdoodles to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes.
