These delicious Cinnamon Toast Crunch Donuts are SO good & super easy to make! They’re perfect for Christmas morning, Sunday brunch, breakfast in bed, or just about ANY occasion!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a nonstick donut pan with cooking spray and set aside.Add the flour, crushed cereal, baking powder, spices and salt to a large mixing bowl and whisk to combine.
Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the sugar, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and buttermilk.
Start by whisking the wet ingredients together inside the well. Once the wet ingredients are mixed, whisk together the wet and dry ingredients until combined. The mixture will be thick and slightly lumpy.
Using a rubber spatula, fold in the pieces of cinnamon toast crunch cereal.
Use a pastry bag or zip-top bag to pipe the batter equally into the six donut cavities.
Bake for 9-10 minutes until the donut bounces back when lightly touched. Turn out to a wire rack to let them cool. Repeat with any remaining batter.
Making The Glaze
To make the glaze, add all ingredients to a saucepan on medium-low heat.
Use a whisk to stir constantly until the glaze becomes uniform and smooth.
Once the donuts are cool enough to handle, dip them into the cinnamony glaze.
To finish, place back on the wire rack and top with extra bits of cinnamon toast crunch cereal.
Once completed, you’re ready to serve & enjoy yourself a delicious, fluffy doughnut!
Notes
Tips For Getting The Best Glaze On Your Donuts:
Use a saucepan that’s wide enough for your hands to easily dip in and out of.
Submerge the donut deep enough into the glaze to coat it, but don’t press the donut against the bottom of the pan. Hover just above it to get a clean coat of glaze. If this is challenging for you, double up on the glaze ingredients for easier dipping (note, you’ll have glaze left over if you do this).
If you want to double dip the glaze, let the first layer cool and harden before coating with a second layer.
