This recipe for homemade granola is quick and easy – a great base recipe for your favorite mix-ins such as dried fruit, nuts, berries, chocolate chips & more!

Easy naturally sweet granola (2)My family eats a lot of granola, whether on its own as a snack, as a cereal, or as a topping for ice cream or our favorite parfait recipes. Since we eat so much of it and go through it so quickly, it makes the most financial sense to make our own granola. I love knowing exactly what goes in to my family’s foods, and this recipe is a great base recipe for incorporating all of your favorite additional mix-ins.

Start by preheating your oven to 300 degrees. Using a large cookie sheet, spread out the oats, millet, almonds, and coconut, and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

Easy naturally sweet granola (5)Lightly coat a baking sheet with coconut oil, and turn the oven up to 325 degrees. Spread the granola mixture on the tray in an even layer. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the granola is firm and a bit more toasted.
