Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Make These Donuts The Night Before?

Yes, but for optimal freshness, these are best when made and served on the same day! If storing overnight, place them in an airtight container and store them at room temperature. Be careful not to stack them and ruin the icing.

I Don’t Have Icing, What Else Can I Use?

Though icing is easier to control, you can use candy melts and make the spider legs by working with the melted chocolate and a toothpick. The same method can be used to apply the edible eyes.

What If I Have Leftover Donut Holes?

For another easy, complimentary Halloween treat — use up leftover donut holes by placing the candy eyes on each donut hole, and then use pretzel sticks to make spider pretzel legs. Little hands may have an easier time holding onto these smaller donut-hole spiders, too.
