When making your own easy charcuterie board, remember to have your hot food prepared just ahead of assembling your snack board. As a general rule of thumb, arrange your smaller bowls first, then larger ingredients and then fill in empty spaces with your smaller items. For added pops of color, we added orange slices, blueberries and fresh strawberries onto our board!

Supplies Needed for Brunch Charcuterie Boards:

NOTE: If you want to avoid cooking hot foods ahead of time, you can opt for quicker options like donut holes, chocolate chip muffins, cheeses, or a variety of fruits!

If you like the idea of hot foods, but just want to change things up a bit, consider adding some more savory options in addition to the sweet treats. Breakfast sausage, crispy bacon, goat cheese, and hard-boiled eggs are all great options!

Frequently Asked Questions

What size platter or tray works best for this recipe?

Ingredient quantities will vary based on the size of your board and the size of the bowls used for condiments. I used a 15” x 11” platter for my board here, but you can work with lots of different sized wooden boards. You could even use a baking sheet if that’s what you have on-hand!

Can I assemble the board ahead of time?

You will want to wait until right before serving to assemble the board. That way your waffles and pancakes stay warm, and the bagels do not get stale. However, condiments can be placed in bowls, and fruit can be prepped ahead of time so that there is less work to do when it is time to assemble!
